Kam Sokhi, Professional & Accredited Food Allergy Chef
Kam Sokhi creates allergy friendly recipes for health conscious people without compromising on taste. In 2018, Kam left her successful career as a Head chef and qualified as an eating psychology coach, EFT and NLP practitioner. However cooking and food was her passion and first love.
She earned a BSc International Culinary Arts and has completed City & Guilds 706/1-3 Kitchen/Larder, City & Guilds 706/3 Advanced Patisserie and Confectionery. These achievements took place at the University of West London, previously known as Thames Valley University.
She is also responsible for food styling and photography, having obtained her photography diploma from the London Photography Institute and specialised in food photography at CNM.
She now uses her knowledge and expertise to create amazing food that’s healing, nourishing and taste delicious.
For 25 years, Kam was a sought-after head chef working for clients such as the Hilton chain, Sheraton skyline, Pinewood studios, Dupont, Cancer research and the airline BMI. Her creativity, business acumen and culinary expertise have driven businesses forward in terms of sales and profitability.
Kam has an innate sense of what’s needed in the current climate and what to exploit to achieve success. She has diversified businesses by introducing supper clubs, incorporating her own innovative menus, tapped into new markets such as plant-based and raw foods and attracted attention using social media and her own food photography.
Recently, she was asked to contribute her recipes to the campaign ‘Home-cooked Heroes in Ibiza’. She is also a patisserie chef who owned a cake business, has won numerous cake decorating competitions, and has made cakes for some celebrity clients.
Kam has a unique skill that enables her to create exciting recipes that cater to those with allergies, intolerances, or food sensitivities who want to nourish their bodies with a natural whole-food diet. She ensures that her recipes taste absolutely divine without compromising on taste. Kam has mastered the art of recipe development and creates recipes that everyone can enjoy.
Kam has suffered from 12 food intolerances and gut issues for over a decade and has had to follow some very restricted diets in order to heal her symptoms. She has become an expert in adapting her diet and does not want to compromise on taste or miss out on eating the foods she loves and craves. She draws so much passion into creating delicious recipes that all the family can enjoy drawing from her 25 years of knowledge as a professional chef. As an advocate for holistic health, she follows a very ethical and organic lifestyle, eating foods that are close to mother nature, and she wants to reflect this in her recipes.
When she's not in the kitchen, Kam can be found teaching cookery classes and conducting cooking demos at events. She is an entertainer at heart, sharing her love of cooking and quirky humour with others. Kam's life is a continuous taste test, as she spends hours at food exhibitions and loves uncovering obscure ingredients. Her passion for exploring unique ingredients and flavours is sure to pique your curiosity and inspire your culinary journey.
