Notes on ingredients & substitutions

Chicken

Chicken wings are really cheap to buy, I got mine at Waitrose and they are organic. You could also use the thigh or leg if you want a more substantial meal.

Soy sauce

Use Tamari Iif you cannot consume gluten and coconut aminos if you cannot consume soy.

Tamari can be bought at most supermarkets or online here.

Coconut aminos online. Take a look here.

Honey

Always opt for organic, local raw honey where possible, especially if you are following a paleo diet. It is usually found in your local health food stores.

Sesame oil

Buy toasted sesame oil as it has such a depth of flavour. Found in most supermarkets.

I buy many of my ingredients from Well Easy, a discounted online health food shop. Most products are cheaper than anywhere else, and they have over 50 filters, so shopping for allergy-friendly ingredients got a lot easier. If your health conscious, you will just love the brands and products that well easy offer. You can also get £10 off your first order if you enter my discount code KAM10 at the checkout.

  • 1 Chilli

  • 50 g Ginger

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
